a little faith's bookshelf

I lost touch with books for about a decade because of life but thankfully I am able to return to this beautiful world. Eclectic mix from YA to erotica. I blame fanfic.

Catch Me - Claire Contreras

I picked up this book for its tagline, 'who will be there when I fall?'  I love those 'catch me before I fall' type romances, when our protagonists are upon a brink, sometimes staring into an abyss.  This book didn't disappoint.  Brooklyn seems fine, a life that people envy but underneath things have already started to fray.

It's an easy read but peppered with twists to keep you engaged and well developed characters to keep you invested.  I didn't warm to Nick immediately but Claire Contreras makes you believe that they are right for each other.  Not in the meant to be way but more thank goodness you came along.  It makes you feel grateful for love rather than just blessed.

Wonderfully written and though I had never heard of her before this (definitely a crime) I won't forget her name soon.  Recommended.
